Develop a safe and efficient system for stacking and handling aluminium extrusion containers.
A solution was needed to allow crane operators and forklift drivers to work simultaneously without physical interaction, while safely stacking containers of aluminium extrusions.
We designed and manufactured a system including a chain-driven floor conveyor, 2-tonne scissor lift and pneumatic handling arms. This created an elevated stacking position for crane removal, while allowing forklift loading at a lower level.
The system was delivered successfully, remains in use, and has led to multiple repeat orders, demonstrating its effectiveness and reliability.
